Many sales started well before Christmas and I managed to get a pair of brown trousers half price in Principles and a red cardigan with £20 off from Laura Ashley so when the stores were mobbed on Boxing Day I was out in the fresh air having a nice long walk.

Internet sales have shot up this year and as much as I enjoy browsing round a shopping mall when you know exactly what you want the internet is the place to be.

On my wish list for Christmas was a tan Radley bag.  I had seen it in a store in November but at £175 I could not bring myself to buy it.  But I kept thinking about it so looked on the Radley website to see if it had been reduced in their sale.  Yes it was down to £122 but they had none in stock.

It took me 2 evenings but I tracked one down at www.tyrers.com  The bag was delivered two days later all beautifully packaged.  I am really impressed that even during their sale they can deliver such a high standard of service.  If only all internet stores were as good as this.
