I recommend the puffa jacket, they come in different weights and many are now fitted so they give you some shape. Per Una usually do a good range but this year I have bought mine from Esprit, www.esprit.co.uk who also have stores throughout the country.
Wearing a heavier jacket will make you look bigger but offset this by wearing a long scarf to elongate the body, a scarf is also a good way to have some colour near your face especially if you are wearing a dark coloured jacket.
In winter our skin becomes paler and mine looks positively washed out so I have a variey of pashminas that I wear to brighten up my look. Think about the texture of the scarf you are wearing, if you have straight hair then a smooth scarf will look best but if you have curls or waves then go for a textured scarf. The reason for this is the more curls or wrinkles you have then wearing a smooth scarf will just make your hair look curlier and if you have wrinkles make them more pronounced. While if you have straight hair then smother fabrics will look better. The same goes for the clothes you wear.
Winter Boots
At last a company that realises that one size does not fit all. DUO is changing the way women shop for shoes and boots by selling different width fittings. They have worked hard to create a collection of beautiful women's boots and shoes that don’t cost the earth, and will fit you better than anything you’ve EVER worn before. They have stores in Bath, Manchester , Edinburgh and London or you can shop online at www.duoboots.comWhat I am Loving this Month
Waitrose has done it again, I think their baby section has wonderful products. My favourite this month is the Top to Toe Baby Salve by Organic at Heart www.organicatheart.co.uk - I am using it on my hands and feet. It is a natural product with no nasty ingredients and has a delicious smell of Lavender. As it is a salve you need to warm the cream first in your hands before applying. It is also great to use after you have shaved your legs.
News
It's official, men prefer a lady in red above any other colour, or so says a study carried out by the university of Rochester in America.
The study involved showing men a photo of various women wearing a different colour of blouse. The vast majority chose the lady wearing red. The study also said that a woman wearing red is more likely to be asked than a woman wearing blue.
So if you are single at the moment forget about wearing black and wear red instead. The plus side to wearing red is that it will also make you feel more confident.
Be sure to wear the right shade of red for your colouring. You will find a colour chart with all your best colours in my e-book
The House of Fraser is offering 20% off your Christmas shopping when you use your store card. This offer is on till 12th December.
Quote of the month
'A day without laughter is a day wasted'

With daylight hours now shorter and the evenings seeming longer it is too easy to just collapse on the sofa and watch tv. Why not invite some friends round for a girls night in. Have a make-up party and get a make-up consultant to come along and show you how to apply the latest cosmetics. Or have an accessory swop where you bring bags, belts, shoes and jewellery you never wear and swop it for something else.
