  • Everyone loves a bargain

Worth queuing to grab a bargain.

  • Saving Money

Ssh it's a great offer but don't tell anyone.

  • Thermal Underwear

Thermal vests can be pretty as well as practical.

  • A Radiant Complexion with thermal mud

I have just discovered the wonderful range of face products from the New Zealand company, Parrs.

  • Cashmere at the supermarket

You can find some really nice cashmere jumpers and cardigans only one aisle away from the fruit and veg in Sainsburys.

  • Having clothes altered

Sometimes you come across the perfect outfit but the fit is not quite right.

Would you notice if your bust was suddenly lopsided?

  • Changing Rooms

I paid a visit to what must be one of the smallest changing rooms in the country. The House of Fraser in Dudley have what can only be described as a broom cupboard for you to try on clothes from their Linea range.

  • How to find your correct bra size

While I was waiting in the queue to try on some bras in M&S the lady in front asked if she could be measured. She was told you now have to book an appointment to be measured and the next one was in 3 hours could she come back.

  • Fun and flirty or sensible and practical

Normally I play it safe when it comes to underwear and always opt for a practical bra that I can wear under most of my tops without it looking bulky. But there I was standing in M&S with two bras in my hand, one was practical and very boring but I knew I would get a lot of wear out of it and the second which had the label fun and flirty, was cream with pink polk a dots and some frilly pink lace.

  • How long would you queue?

Twice a year I go clothes shopping with my husband. First in January when he has some Christmas money to spend, and then in June just after his birthday. Quite how I ended up with a man who has so little interest in what he wears or buys is a mystery to me.

  • I love shoes

I love shoes. I am not in the same league as Imelda Marcos but I adore pretty shoes so how did I end up trying on what I can only describe as granny sandals yesterday...?
